UNIT Parktech Signature Obstacles !
You remember our Team Shoot during O`Neill WTL 2011? The videos are ready! The Editude Crew and Philippe Stalla (www.editude.tv) did a great job. You can find the edits just here!
Thurman’s Signature Rail:
“The Pool ist just a miracle. I never expect that something like this is doable. The Remote Team, Ben Horan and me are winching allot these days. We are looking for waterfalls or other locations with differed water levels. I gave my first sketch last year. My idea was to bring winchspots to cableparks. What UNIT is doing with my idea is just unbelievable. I cant wait to ollie into the down rail or just kickflip the stairs.”
Nico’s Signature Rail:
“When I was thinking about how my obstacle should look like it was pretty clear to me I wanted something like a downrail, using a pipe and not a wide box. This makes rail riding a lot more difficult, but the feeling so much better. Clearing the whole rail or using another of all the varieties you can hit this obstacle (like wallriding it, or going from the wall to the rail, or using it as an uprail,…) just makes you smile.” Nico´s Signature Obstacle is ready to shred at turncable.de.
Vollert’s Signature Rail:
The day Hannes Degenhardt came to me with that good news, telling me that i will get my own UNIT Parktech signature obstacles among all those famous names like Pat Panakos, Kevin Henshaw and Nico von Lerchenfeld I didn´t think that it will be so hard to design a simple, good rideable obstacles which has never built bevor. So i startet creating my ideas with pen and paper. The craziest ideas occured but not the perfect form. Rooftop variations, a-frames, funboxes …I had so many obstacles in my head. And everything would have been too crazy and too big.
Stefan Jandke and I had the idea to follow an other direction. The idea was to build a obstacles which is rare at cableparks and not makeble with classic building skills and material.
So we decided to make a Rainbowrail. It took long to find the perfect measures. With a wall and a ledge on the side of the obstacle got so many posibilities to hit and became a real toy. I cant wait to hit that thing and just put my presses to the limit and find all ways to shred it hard.
I just want to say thank you to the UNIT Crew for that insane chance and I´m so happy to be part of that project. UNIT Parktech rules.
Henshaw’s Signature Rail:
“I thought of this design a couple years ago after hitting some other rails and thought how fun it would be to join them all into one and came up with this. this rail is so cool to me because of how many different lines you can take, its endless what you can do. I think every Cable should have one of these, I get board of all the cables rails so fast and now that UNIT is building rails properly its going to change everything and make cable that much better. Thanks everyone this is the coolest thing i have ever seen cant wait to shred that thing”
Kolb’s Signature Rail:
“As obstacles I like simple stuff which has a perfect clean finish. That’s why I created more like a basic obstacle where you can get technical. I love it to hit boxes and ledges. Especially if they are low to high. So you got a box that’s not too steep and not too high at the end. Also you have a ledge on the side which is a little higher. And if you’re coming from the outside you can wallride the shit out of that thing. Finally it was important for me to have no upramps like at almost every cablepark. You have to ollie into it. Or shuv into it. Or flip into it… Unit made that possible. Awesome!”
